Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham are all keen to keep strengthening during what remains of the summer window. Chelsea have reportedly persuaded Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to accept a three-year contract to reunite with Thomas Tuchel as a move for Wesley Fofana also accelerates. However, a shock bid for Harry Maguire has been rebuffed.
Over at Arsenal, Youri Tielemans was benched by Leicester as Chelsea target Fofana missed today’s game entirely. Lucas Paqueta, Yeremy Pino and Cody Gakpo remain talked about but players must first be sold before the Gunners can continue a busy summer of signings.
Spurs are ready to pounce. Indeed, Fofana’s arrival at Chelsea could force Trevoh Chalobah out and Antonio Conte is considering a shock move for the defender, who is also attracting interest from Roma and Inter Milan. Arsenal eye Ukraine winger Mudryk
Ukrainian midfielder Mykhaylo Mudryk has emerged as a target for Arsenal.

Maguire wanted by Chelsea
Chelsea approached Manchester United over a surprise deal for Harry Maguire in talks over Christian Pulisic.
The English defender was discussed in United’s failed bid for Pulisic, according to The Guardian.
But Chelsea were knocked back with the Red Devils determined to keep their captain despite Maguire becoming a target for angry United fans of late.
If a deal for Wesley Fofana collapses, the Blues are said to remain keen on a fresh move for Maguire.
Aubameyang agrees Chelsea deal
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has agreed to sign for Chelsea.
Sport report on the Barcelona striker accepting a three-year contract offer from the Blues featuring a pay rise on his current Camp Nou salary.
Thomas Tuchel is said to have been key in persuading his former star at Borussia Dortmund to accept leaving Barcelona, which he was reluctant to do.
Now all that remains is for the clubs to reach an agreement on a transfer fee, mooted to be around £24 million.
Rodgers explains Fofana and Tielemans’ absence
Brendan Rodgers left Welsey Fofana and Youri Tielemans out of his starting line-up for Saturday’s defeat to Southampton following rumors of interest from Chelsea and Arsenal.
“One, a change in system,” he told Sky Sports.
“And two, I mentioned in the week, we’re coming into a Premier League game and maybe we’ve got players who are maybe not quite in the right frame of mind.
“You can’t carry them, or certainly we can’t. So yeah, that’s the reason for the changes.”
